Prior to forming KZ&Co., Kyle Zimmer was the Managing Director of the public relations division of a large West Palm Beach-based firm focused on capital campaign management, fundraising counsel, and public and media relations. He managed a staff of seven and a base of clients in the media relations, community relations, events management and crisis management areas. Prior to that, Mr. Zimmer served as Director of Public Affairs for the Norton Museum of Art, garnering international recognition for the Museum during its $23 million "Campaign for the Norton." He has managed numerous successful events including the Norton's "Art of Beautiful Table Settings" event, which was featured in Southern Accents and on Home and Garden Television.
Kyle Zimmer and his firm have attained recognition locally as being a consistently effective and superior "partner in public relations" for numerous high-profile clients.
Prior to moving to West Palm Beach, Mr. Zimmer was Director of College Relations for Flagler College, St. Augustine, Florida, where he created a successful community relations program during a controversial expansion of the campus. The College is today recognized for their commitment to historic preservation and restoration, as well as the quality of education, size and reasonable tuition costs (U.S. News World Report rankings).
Mr. Zimmer holds an undergraduate degree in English and the history of art/architecture and a Masters degree in journalism.
Prior to joining KZ&CO., Lisa Cole was a freelance writer and copyeditor for several large publishing companies, including Penguin-Putnam Inc., where she worked as Managing Editor of Ace Books. She has worked as an independent contractor for Fodor's Travel Guides, Clarinda Company, Aspen Publishers, and Marcel Dekker. Ms. Cole has also written for the popular website www.2young2retire.com after beginning her career as a medical copyeditor at Mosby Year-Book in St. Louis in 1989.
Lisa has worked on numerous high profile projects at KZ&Co. including placing an interior design client's work in national and international trade publications, on regional television stations and HGTV.
She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Mary Wickwire has more than 15 years in the public and media relations industry. Initially an event planner, Ms. Wickwire soon found her talents lie in the media relations and speechwriting arenas. Her work has been with the media, community relations and corporate positioning for clients key professionals, products, services and community initiatives.
Ms. Wickwire is an expert in crisis communications with the ability to not only think clearly and strategically, but to create solutions to situations before they become unmanageable for the client. Beyond that, her work in this area has allowed her to create programs that are based in restructuring a client's corporate image after a crisis situation.
The scope of her work encompasses clients in the not-for profit, for profit, arts and healthcare sectors. Ms. Wickwire has secured placements for clients in The New York Times, USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, Town & Country, InStyle, Brides Magazine, and Glamour, as well as numerous local and regional media outlets.
She in an honors graduate of Florida State University.
Cara MacVane delivers creative public relations solutions with high-energy and dignified persistence aimed at improving revenues and corporate imaging. She is adept at providing a full range of services from media relations to communicating with a company's crucial "insiders." For more than a decade, Ms. MacVane has worked with companies of all sizes, and collaborated on a variety of tasks. She has worked in a range of industries – including the healthcare, to cultural and high end retail to specialized law practices to crisis management programs to preventative wellness, through publicity and community education and outreach.
She adeptly transforms industry terminology into appealing editorial, and approaches targeted media to achieve the client's communication goals. Ms. MacVane has defined her niche as a media specialist at boutique-size agencies. She has designed and implemented some of the most stellar "special events" staged in the market place that have not only delivered positive media attention to a clients product and services but driven the bottom line and provided impacting and lasting return on investment in public relations services.
Ms. MacVane is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University.
